Okay, there’s quite a bit happening here

Hi! Please, call me Nur, or Hana.

I know there’s a few things jumbled up into one site, so here’s a quick rundown of what’s happening: I do graphic design, illustrations and lettering from tiny sunny Singapore. I do what I like, put them up on my online shop, and share them with you!

Hana is usually translated as ‘flower’ in Japanese, or ‘bliss/happiness’ in Arabic, ‘one’ in Korean, ‘craft/work’ in Hawaiian, or ‘glow/shine/give out radiance’ in Maori;; and there’s so many more meanings to the name!

With all of these combined, seekinghana was then started, in hopes that the name will be a prayer (du’a), of some sort, to always seek a flowery happiness while creating the crafts that I do, and how I wish my work will bring you both comfort and joy.

The seekinghana shop is currently focused on works that I’ve illustrated while seeking my own style. Personal and client works are shared on the @seekinghana Instagram, and random merch might come out any time I feel like making one!

Some stuff that I often make are: stickers, prints, cards and tote bags :))

We’re officially registered with ACRA under this name!
Do you ever get the feeling of joy after getting new stationery? You go home filled with delight, warmth flooding through you, it’s like finding happily ever after!

We’re currently working on a brand that fits this feeling! ;) It will focus on wedding stationery, minimal paper goods, lifestyle products and graphic design- it’s coming soon, I promise!

I favour flat vectors over anything else, and Adobe Illustrator is my go-to for everything that I make. Branding and editorial works, which include collaterals, packaging and others, are some works I enjoy working on too, apart from illustrating. View my full services here ☼

If you’re still reading, hi, hello, thank you. If it interests you, I’m a Malay-Muslim graphic designer that graduated with a diploma in Visual Communications and Media Design.

Before seekinghana, I was active on Instagram as “fizzitup” around 2016, and then briefly switched to “orange honey studios” in mid 2020 before settling on “seekinghana” a few months later, all the while selling stickers, paper goods, and crafty things! “hana after” was then officially registered in 2023, Alhamdulillah.

My goal here is to simply have fun with what I do; play, fail, and try again at different things, instead of simply settling into one rigid job for the rest of my life. Some see me as a freelancer, some might think I’m just lost, floating about with no proper structure; but really, I’m just doing what I love: designing happily. I trust my gut to do what I want as long as I’m content.

Anyways, if you’ve supported this messy journey of mine, thank you so much! It’s totally okay to try new things in order to find yourself (whatever that means to you). Go out and have fun, friends, live life to the fullest!!
